Nicki Minaj was detained at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport while on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour but was released hours later. The Dutch authorities claimed that she had marijuana in her luggage, leading to the cancellation of her scheduled concert at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
The superstar rapper took to social media Saturday to address the incident, claiming that she was "humiliated" and "harassed" by the Dutch police. She also denied the allegations of drug possession, stating that the substance found in her luggage was not hers.
The Pink Friday 2 World Tour is Minaj's fourth solo and fifth overall concert tour. It began in May 2018 and is scheduled to end in October 2018. The tour has been met with critical and commercial success, with Minaj performing to sold-out crowds across the globe.
Despite the setback in Amsterdam, Minaj is scheduled to continue her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. She is set to perform in Stockholm, Sweden on Monday, June 11th. Tickets for her upcoming concerts are still available for purchase.
